“Nice cottage but not particularly dog friendly”
Reviewed 21st August 2014
The cottage itself is a converted chapel with lovely views of the Isle of Purbeck and Corfe Castle. The location isn't great though halfway up a hill on a busy road with no footpath and blind bends. This meant it was impossible to walk to the local pub and the footpath at the back of the cottage was overgrown and inaccessible. The garden, whilst large and very prettily planted with lavender, roses and clematis, has a slope at one side with a barbed wire fence. We were a bit worried about letting the dog out of his own as a result. The cottage is quite well appointed although the wifi cost extra and wasn't great. Dogs aren't allowed upstairs. Overall we were disappointed given what we'd paid and felt the dog friendly description not particularly apt.
