Great place for a spot of lunch near Ruislip Lido
We wanted somewhere to eat after a walk round Ruislip Lido and the Woodman was one of the few dog friendly pubs in the area - it has a big sign outside saying dogs welcome and promising doggy treats! We sat outside as it was a nice day but dogs are also allowed inside. We had a nice lunch and would come back again.

Lovely birthday lunch for the dog!
A great place for a dog friendly lunch. The bar area is really spacious so there was lots of room for him and he got not only a water bowl but a very big biscuit from the very nice server. Our food wasn’t too bad either - really tasty burgers and great chips. There’s an outdoor area too when (if) the weather is fine with nice views down to the village.

Excellent lunch
The Royal Oak is about a mile out of Marlow. Dogs are allowed in a (spacious) part of the pub with a view of the garden. The staff made a fuss of our dog and gave him two biscuits - there was also water available - and he was very settled when were eating. Food was lovely - nice choice and well presented. Given there is a lack of dog friendly eating places in Marlow this is certainly one to know.

Wonderful!
How great that you can take your dog to a garden as wonderful as this. Located just outside St Austell it's a must if you're in the area. There are 200 acres for you and your dog to explore (on a lead) including some formal gardens and a jungle area with the most amazing plants. Some of it is on slightly steep paths but there are great views from the top of the estate looking out to the sea.

Dogs are allowed everywhere apart from inside at the restaurant (there is an outside covered area where you can eat food from the restaurant with your dog) and the jungle rope bridge - too difficult for paws to navigate. We had a great outdoor lunch at the BBQ and there are lots of dog water bowls around the place too.

Highly recommended for a lovely day out with your dog!

Lovely gastronomic pub outside Bodmin
The St Tudy Inn is six miles outside Bodmin but well worth a detour. Dogs are allowed in the spacious, pretty bar where you can also order from the restaurant menu. The food was excellent, fresh fish and local produce and the service was friendly. We took a walk around the village afterwards which we and the dog enjoyed after our lovely meal.

Do go!
This is a bit off the beaten track at Retorrick Mill just past Mawgan but it's well worth seeking out. The restaurant is in a quirky barn surrounded by ducks, swans and pigs and there is no standing menu, it's just what it fresh and has been cooked on the day. I had the best prawns ever and the pizza and garlic bread was straight out of the wood oven. Dogs are welcome. They are offered their very own mat and a little bucket of tasty bones which went down well with our dog. It's a very relaxed environment and only open in the evening. Probably a good idea to book ahead, but do go.

Go but book!
It is so good to find somewhere you can eat with your dog that isn't a pub. And even better when the food is as good as this. We booked ahead which was probably essential as it is very small and there was limited space to park our Golden Retriever. We were given a table near the kitchen with space for him to lay down while we enjoyed the delicious selection of fish tapas on offer. A lovely meal made even better by the fact we didn't have to leave the dog behind. And very reasonable for what we had.

An ok place to eat
We stopped here for lunch on the way down to Cornwall. Dogs are allowed in the bar area where there is also a sports TV, a pool table and a juke box. Lots of space for the dog but no special treatment. Extensive menu for us. Was fine, pretty average pub fare but a nice friendly place.

Great stop after a walk in the park
We stopped here for lunch after a walk in Windsor Great Park with our dog. It's near the Wick Road car park. The pub itself is really nice with a small outside space. We sat inside in the window to watch the world go by. The staff were very friendly and made a fuss of our dog giving him a biscuit and carefully stepping over him after he had rather unhelpfully sat at the entrance to the bar. The food was good too and the menu changes daily. Makes a great day out with a walk in the lovely park.

Cosy historic lunch
The restaurant - Dawson's Bar and Restaurant- is situated within the Castle Hotel in the centre of Conwy. I had phoned ahead to check if dogs were allowed and was a bit worried to be told that we could only eat in the snug as I had visions of dark corner somewhere. I needn't have worried. The snug was a lovely, cosy room in keeping with the rest of this historic place. The food was excellent and a cut above normal pub food. The dog certainly enjoyed a bit of the steak pie. It's a bit more expensive but the food was worth it. Would have given five paws with a dog bowl.

Lovely food in comfortable surroundings
It's always difficult to find dog friendly places to eat in this neck of the woods so we were pleased to find the White House which is situated just outside St Asaph and not far from Rhyl. Dogs are only allowed in the bar area but it's a nice, big, comfortable space. The food was good - and excellent value with the lunchtime menu. Certainly worth seeking out. Would have given it five paws if a dog bowl had been offered.
