“Handy in emergency”
Reviewed 13th February 2016
The fact it is open so late makes Pets at Home a handy store to have local.
However it is the opposite of what the benefits of a large chain should be, by bulk buying they should be competitive on price and be able to offer a great range in store. Pets at Home are not, in fact they are the most expensive places on the majority of products and their range in storeis actually poor (shopping for dogs) so much chitz and little of substance. Space for 20 sparkly collars choices, but only one or two options in functional choices. In normal working hours Id pick a local store

“Expensive and limited choice of healthy treats! ”
Reviewed 8th July 2015
I personally think Pets At Home is too expensive and the selection of healthy treats (like Lilly kitchen, arden grange, anco, pet munchies etc) are very limited, whereas the awful treats filled with colouring, salt and sugar (like bakers, pedigree, winalot, hilife etc) are plentiful! I would much rather buy healthy treats for my dog elsewhere......

“Hit and miss”
Reviewed 27th January 2015
I have made a few online orders for dog food to save me the hassle of carrying large bags to and from my car. It appears you either get the order within a few days without any errors or you wait for around a week and then the order is incomplete or has the wrong goods which is a real pain to resolve. Prices are competitive but I have now decided to go elsewhere.

“Disappointed with online delivery service”
Reviewed 5th January 2015
I used to drive a few miles to my local Pets At Home store to buy my dog food but decided to take advantage of free delivery and order it online. Once ordered payment immediately left my account however a week later I had still not received it.
I phoned Customer Services on a number of occasions before they finally answered and was informed that my order was on hold because it was close to £100 although no explanation was given as to why the amount should cause a problem. I then waited another four days for delivery and when my order arrived half of it was missing resulting in another visit in store which completely defeated the purpose of ordering online!
