All The Latest News From All Dogs Matter
Our friends at All Dogs Matter are looking for your help in finding forever homes for two dogs rescued from a puppy farm in Wales and there’s a happy ending for our last featured dog Otis.
At the end of July, we were asked to help rescue some ex-breeding female dogs from a puppy farm in Wales. The five dogs came to us extremely nervous and in quite a bad way, but all had very sweet natures despite their tough start. All of the dogs had fleas and were extremely matted. They urgently needed a claw clip, so went straight off for baths and a pedicure to make them more comfortable.
They were then taken to The Arc Vets for a health check. They will all need spaying, vaccinations and dental work… plus some serious TLC! If you are interested in donating towards their treatment or care, please visit our website for more information or just text ADMS23 £5 to 70070.
We have already managed to find forever homes for three of the girls but we need to find a home for Talia and Effie who are looking to live together. They are sweet and affectionate and really enjoy being around people. However, they will need a patient owner, who is able to introduce them to new experiences and boost their confidence. What might seem very normal to some dogs, like living in a house and walking on a lead, is completely new to them.
Please get in touch if you would like to give these lovely girls a second chance.
We’re passionate about ending this cruel and heartless trade. If you’re interested in campaigning against puppy farming, please go and learn more at Pup Aid’s website. We will be attending their show on the 2nd September this year to support their cause.
On a happier note we’re delighted to report that our last featured dog Otis, a lovely Boxer Staffie cross has found a new home. His new name is Stanley and here’s a picture of him enjoying his new life on the beach.
And finally, here’s a date for your diary. It’s our annual show on Sunday 10th September which will take place in Victoria Park, East London from 11am to 3pm. Come along and meet some of our dogs looking for new homes and find out if your pooch has what it takes to become Mr or Mrs Victoria Park! A great day out for all the family and all proceeds go to the rescue and rehoming of dogs in need. Find out more here.
