The Oaks

The pub is situated on the Old Uxbridge Road set back from the main road. When we arrived on a bank holiday lunchtime it was quiet but it soon filled up. We were told that we could bring our dog inside but, as it was a nice day for once, we decided to sit outside in the pretty little covered area. The menu was small but it was clear that the food was freshly prepared and locally sourced. The fish and chips were very good as was the (homemade) cheesecake. The staff were friendly but the service was slightly haphazard - a bit on the slow side and we had to ask twice for the dog's water bowl. But we'd go back for sure.
