“Lovely gardens - well worth a visit”
Reviewed 22nd June 2015
We found these gardens while searching the web for somewhere to go with the dog whilst staying in the area. We spent half a day wandering round and enjoying lunch in the undercroft (dogs also allowed inside). The gardens were well kept and there were lots of different areas to see. The fountain was great although it's only on at certain times. Dogs are allowed on leads, which is fine, ours would have ended up in the pond otherwise! The plant centre was good - lots of unusual plants at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. The entrance fee was £10 for the garden only which we felt was justified given how much the upkeep must cost.
