Bucks 'n' Barks

We had our boy booked in for 2 weeks over the summer.
He was collected, along with his bedding, food and a list of preferences we wanted to give.
When we picked him up he looked happy and healthy and was making a fuss of everyone at the house. To me that says he felt at home which is exactly what we needed.

I am a very fussy dog owner who took a very long time after I moved to this country to get a dog, largely due to concerns about caring for the dog. I grew up with dogs all my life in SA and believe I know a bit about caring for them.

I am truly blessed and cannot rate Shirley highly enough for the extra loving and dedicated care she gives my Jack Russell who is rather spoilt not only by me but by Shirley and even her family. My dog is treated like one of the family when she goes to stay with Shirley at least once a month, while I'm travelling for work. When Shirley picks up my dog for her walks, she is only too happy to bounce towards Shirley ready for her walks.

I would highly recommend her for her professionalism, expertise, and loving care of the dogs.

We've been customers of Bucks 'n' Barks for two years and we (and even more importantly, our pups!) LOVE Shirley and the fantastic, professional services she provides. Our two boisterous Labradors literally can't wait for days or overnight stays with Shirley, and her help with training has been invaluable. Whenever we go away on holiday, it's always such a relief to know our fur babies will be cared for just like family. Shirley always goes the extra mile; we really can't say enough about how lucky we are to have found her! It's a true shame the previous reviewer left a negative rating - please ignore! As he says himself, he can't rate the service since he didn't use it.

We had provisionally booked our dog to stay here for 10 days subject to us and our dog meeting Shirley the owner. We had an appointment booked to visit and then received a message via Facebook to say that the appointment was cancelled as she had taken an alternative booking instead! We contacted her by telephone and were told that she had simply classed our booking as a 'shadow' booking and as we may not have proceeded gave it to someone else who had paid a deposit even though we had not had the opportunity to visit as already arranged. We felt very let down by Shirley as we had heard good reviews for her so beware if you are a potential new customer. Ratings below are not applicable as service was not used.
