Develop Your Dog

Our 4 year old working-bred German Shepherd has very strong instincts which gave us a lot of trouble - chasing cars, pulling with huge strength on the lead, jumping up on people. Generally very boisterous. It was very difficult taking her anywhere and walks on the lead were unpleasant for everyone!
Enter Jill, with her immense knowledge and very thorough approach. After an in-depth consultation, she taught Mitzi a few things, taught US a few things, and then sent a comprehensive report to follow up with details of exactly how we should proceed. It has all worked beautifully, and Jill is at the end of the phone should we run into difficulties. Being out with Mitzi is now a pleasure and we can go out in public with her with confidence.

I did a four month training programme with Jill last year. My cockapoo learnt quickly in the happy environment of Jill's class. She is friendly, knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. We received interesting information in the informal lecture before we brought the dogs in from the cars. We learned how to do a task e.g. loose lead walking and then we all had ample time to teach the task to the dog. Then Jill would give us the next task and so on.
There were six humans and six dogs in the class so we had plenty of tuition time each session. We also had homework which was important and then, in class, we could ask questions on any dog related matter. Plenty of interesting discussion!
I have another puppy and I shall be doing the puppy course with Jill in January. It takes me an hour to travel to the class. I think that says it all!

We took our slightly unruly two year old lab to Jill to help with his basic training. Her knowledge, patience and passion show through in all she does. Her training methods are simple and methodical, we have a transformed dog and can't thank Jill enough for all she has taught us and how she adapts to all the owners and dogs, she only ever runs small numbers in the class so that she can dedicate the time to each and every one present. Jill runs classes and also provides 1-2-1 tuition at your location. I strongly recommend Jill whether you have a new puppy or dog, or just would like some assistance. Thank you Jill :)

Jill is a very friendly, approachable and calm dog trainer. Both my dog and myself learnt a lot as regards to effective commands and how to achieve them. I even managed to persuade my husband to attend the training sessions, which he did willingly! I would heartily recommend Jill and her training methods which she was adept at adapting if required.
