Lovely break with our dog
Celtic Haven is a complex of holiday cottages with an on site restaurant and spa in a beautiful setting on the Pembrokeshire coast close to Tenby. Some of the cottages are pet friendly and we took our dog for a long midweek January break. It's on the coastal path and there's certainly a lot of nearby countryside for dog walking and the nearest beach is only a 10/15 minute walk away down a (rather steep!) hill.

Our accommodation was comfortable and modern even though we were staying in one of the oldest properties. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We'd taken advantage of one of their winter offers and, as part of that, had excellent take away pizzas on the first evening. We would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant itself which has stunning views of the bay, but unfortunately it wasn't dog friendly. We also had vouchers for the spa and had a couple of very relaxing treatments. You can also take advantage of the nine hole golf course and indoor leisure facilities which we didn't try. There's a dog friendly pub two minutes away in the village which was closed until March so best to check.

An excellent choice for a dog friendly holiday with lots of amenities on site, good accommodation and well located for all the area has to offer.

Fantastic little cafe/bar
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Georges. It's an interesting mix of bar/restaurant/cafe/shop and was very cosy and welcoming. The staff were really friendly and our golden retriever was made a fuss of and given a treat. The food was home made and tasty and the sticky toffee pudding declared the best ever! Lovely place.

Great dog walking gardens
We came in January (which probably isn't the best time of the year but nevertheless) and enjoyed a lovely walk around the gardens. Dogs are allowed throughout the garden (including the walled garden) on a lead although not in the castle (which is closed anyway at this time of year as is the coffee shop). We spent a good hour walking round enjoying the gardens and would probably spend longer in the spring/summer when the plants and flowers are out. The dog enjoyed it too.

Lovely restaurant
I found out almost by accident that this restaurant was dog friendly and was very glad that I did. It's situated in the centre of Saundersfoot and is lovely inside with lots of wood and beams. We ate at lunchtime and had the set menu which was excellent value. The food was great and the service was very friendly. The restaurant asks that you phone in advance if you have a dog so that they can make sure they seat you in the best place. It made a very welcome change from pubs which are usually the only place you can go with your dog. Highly recommended!

Good food, nice views
This pub is situated on the river with lovely views of the Castle and our dog was given a warm welcome in the bar area. The food was clearly home made and very tasty. Would particularly recommend the steak and ale pie. Prices were very reasonable.
