After moving house my dog was stressed and had traces of blood in her stools. A friend recommended we try Protexin Paste which is a short treatment of a probiotic paste that is added to the dog's food. The treatment was available without prescription and by mail order so we ordered some (the one specifically for dogs as they seem to do one for horses too).

Within a couple of days of starting the treatment the symptoms had cleared up completely and three months later there has been no recurrence at all so I recommend trying this approach if your dog has similar symptoms. Obviously, if they don't clear up quickly, consult a vet in case it is something more serious.

We have used Lydon's in the care of our dogs for some years now and have always found them to be caring and professional both for routine treatments and for emergencies. When we wanted to take our dog to Europe they sorted out the pet passport and when we wanted to go further afield overseas (to Australia) they made sure that all of the required papers were submitted and various medical criteria met so that the right paperwork could go to the shippers.

The owner was previously a hairdresser by trade, and my dog came out very well presented!

This kennel is set in the countryside near Kings Bromley and has well laid out runs and a large paddock. The dogs are well cared for during their stays and even get a walk around the paddock when the weathers inclement.
