We were with Pet Plan for a couple of years for our Rottweiler Bitch and although we had made no claims the premiums kept rising I felt somewhat steeply so I wanted to find out what other options there were available.
Some internet searches turned up Bought By Many. The reviews I could find were largely very positive but they offered some unusual policy types which I had not seen elsewhere, one for same price per month to cover the pet's whole life, cover for preexisting conditions and the one I opted for, cash back for no claims. They have the usual banded cover for the total spend on treatment per year but wrapped in the three options described. The level of cover I got was very similar to Pet Plan but for about £40pm less. Definitely worth a look when comparing products.

We bought a little bag to check our 2.5yr old Rottweiler bitch would do OK on it.
She eats pretty much anything but I wanted to make sure her stools were OK with a new diet (no problems) and as we have had problems with her ears blocking up I wanted to try her on a formula that had less allergens.
She seems OK with it, always clears her bowl and as for the ears time will tell.
Delivery was prompt and contents were properly packed, the little bag had a really neat way of resealing it.
Price is excellent compared to major brands with dodgy ingredients.
There is no reason not to try Akela the little bags are a good way to see how they do on it.
