Fab cakes
This little cafe is down the main street (Fore Street) in Budleigh Salterton. It's so nice inside that you wouldn't immediately think that it would be dog friendly but they were happy to accommodate our golden retriever and gave him a bowl of water and (lots) of biscuits. We were well served as well, there is a most amazing selection of cakes and sweet things. They also serve some main meals. Lots of coffee shops in Budleigh but this one is highly recommended.

Good pit stop for coffee and a rest
Slightly off the main street, this cafe welcomes dogs and provides water and treats. There's lots of space and the refreshments are nicely served and very reasonable. We only tried the cupcakes which were excellent, but the lunch menu also looked tempting. A good place to know where you need to be indoors away from the wind and the rain!

A must visit pub!
One of the best pubs I've been to in Norfolk for food and what a bonus that it was dog friendly too. On the way to Blakeney point in a small village called Langham. We had plenty of space for the dog and although there weren't any special treats on offer for him, we enjoyed our meal. Service was good and the prices reasonable.

Very dog friendly and good food too
In the lovely little village of Denham, the Green Man has a large outdoor space but dogs are also welcome in the bar area too. The man who came to take our order asked if the dog needed a water bowl before asking what we wanted which is always a good sign in our book. There is a lot to choose from on the menu. We had the Lebanese platter, which we enjoyed, the only problem was it was too spicy for the dog to share!

Great place on the river
This place has recently been refurbished and it’s been very well done. It has a lovely location on the river with a terrace but as there was no shade for us or the dog we sat inside. There are four tables in the area by the door where dogs are allowed and our dog was made a fuss of and the staff brought a bowl of water without asking. The food was excellent and we all agreed we’d come back. Our dog particularly liked the tuna!

Good stopping place off the A31
We needed somewhere to stop to break up our - long - journey to Dorset and found this place which is conveniently just off the A31 Ringwood bypass. It has a garden area which is by the river, although it does suffer a bit from road noise too. As it was a really hot day we ate in the bar inside which was cooler.
It was a busy day so we had to wait 15 mins for our food (but they did tell us that when we ordered and apologised as they had just had a large group in). The menu had some interesting choices and the food was good. An excellent stopping place.
