“Excellent Boarding Kennel”
Reviewed 28th March 2019
Our two absolutely love to stay here. They jump straight out of the car and pull to get in! We have been using Bear for about 5 years now. Alex and the team are so friendly and helpful and look after our two really well. They are happy, well fed and always clean when we pick them up. They have been so many times they know exactly where they are going when we go over in the car, which is a recommendation in itself! We have friends who use Bear and have recommended them to others too. We would not hesitate to have our beloved pawbabies holiday here and have booked in advance again. Thanks as always to Alex and the team.

Wonderful place to leave your dogs. So well looked after and lots of things for the dogs to do. Would recommend this place to everyone if you want your dog to be looked after whilst you are away.

“SHAMEFUL”
Reviewed 14th April 2017
Left our three little Bedlington terriers for a long w/e at the end of June 2016.
When we picked them up they were all covered in urine. The smell and condition of their coats was utterly disgusting. Mabel had damaged her nose (RAW) by pushing through the kennel bars. We had to take her straight to the vet. All dogs were hoarse from barking. We left FULL BOXES of dog food (at leat 10 days supply) and these were returned empty.....yet all of the dogs were ravenous and THIRSTY++++ when we got them home. They had to go straight into the shower to be cleaned up. They slept for nearly 24 hours on returning home. We have met a few people locally who have also had their dogs returned in this awful condition....or worse. Quite a few people (including us) felt that the dogs had not been out of the kennel. One dog needed anti-biotics for UTI. APPALLING. All we would have expected, or hoped for, was a call saying that the dogs were distressed and we would have come home early. Alex denied everything, and we were told that we should have complained before we got them into the car. Our vet went straight to the notice board and removed the card. It has never been replaced. AVOID++++

“Lovely relaxed environment ”
Reviewed 5th December 2015
My dogs have stayed with Alex a couple of times now and seem to have enjoyed their time there, although I was worried about putting my Staffie x into kennels as he was in rescue kennels for several years and became very stressed.
The dogs have their own kennels and as there are set drop off and pick up times the environment is not disturbing for them. They have the opportunity to play in a secure paddock and go for lovely long walks in the countryside. Alex is even able to offer holistic therapies, swim sessions and pampering while the dogs are staying with her.
While my dogs are spoilt and would like their own sofas installed into the kennels, they seem to enjoy their time at the kennels and, although it is a 20 mile drive away, I wouldn't take them to anywhere else.
