Hammersmith Dog Training Club

I had a terrible experience with this trainer - Pat White, to a level where my puppy grew scared when getting near the building. I have attended a few training classes as I have had dogs throughout my life but the unprofessional, uncaring way in which she conducts herself is shocking from sign up to the end of the first class. I got the impression that she dislikes humans just a little more than animals. I know I am 'meant to be the leader' (as was mentioned to us many times over), but her techniques verg on cruel. I disregarded negative comments from other dog owners in the park and took my puppy and paid for the class. We won't go back.

I finally got my first dog as an adult and liking a challenge I adopted a husky cross. She's gorgeous and loving all I'd hope she'd be.
I searched for a local quality puppy training class and found it in Hammersmith Dog Training Club.
Pat has many years of experience and along with her highly effective team she does a remarkable job of trainingg the various dogs that attend the classes.
My then puppy, although highly intelligent, could be quite wilful. She was able to show me how to control and teach her whilst not breaking her spirit.
I would and have recommended her club to a number of neighbours and people I've met who's dogs aren't behaving as expected. All with positive feedback and results.
But you have to remember training doesn't end when the class does, it's a life long thing and dogs soon learn who's a soft touch and what they can get away with. Good training ideally from the start, but at any time is vital in keeping your dog safe and sociable around other dogs and people.
So if your looking for a club to train your companion with a proven track record and years of experience, give Pat a call and sign your dog up for skills that will last a lifetime.

I am sure that most puppy owners will agree with me that sitting down holding your foot firmly down on your puppy's lead for nearly the full hour's class, whilst the trainer talks without allowing any questioning is not really much fun. Both my puppy and I found the her classes unbearable.
My experience with Pat White at HDTC was an awful introduction puppy training. After each class I left thinking that the two of us were in disgrace and that I in particular was a very bad owner and had or would have absolutely no idea about looking after my dog . Pat's way of telling you the right way is to say " Some puppies in the class do this and we all know which puppies we are talking about?".
I really looked forward to training my puppy but spent weeks after finishing the course recovering from the feeling of being totally incompetent.
