Charlie, our PRT is our first ever pet . When we first got her a few years ago, after the initial excitement of having a new puppy at home and getting used to our new routine with four paws constantly under our feet, we started looking into our dog boarding options when Charlie was about 6-12 months old. Kennels were not an option for us. We wanted her to stay in a similarly calm a relaxed environment to what she was used to at home even while we are on holiday. Initially we were asking other dog walkers in our local park about their arrangements and got a few recommendations, however, as there are no children in our family, it became clear very quickly that we would struggle finding a child free foster family to step in when needed.
We were over the moon when we came across the nation-wide "Home from Home Dog Boarding Agency" and after our initial meeting with Mark & Jackie, we were satisfied that we have found just the right place for Charlie to stay while on holidays. Mark & Jackie had formed a strong bond with Charlie during her first stay and they look forward to having her every time we go away. You can tell Charlie is very happy in their care, as every-time we drop her off, she runs for their open front door, eager to say hello to both of them. Its such a pleasure to see this reaction every time. It brings a smile to our faces, knowing she will be just fine and have her own holiday as well while we have ours.
On one occasion we decided to go away at Christmas last minute and Mark & Jackie were unfortunately already booked up by another doggie visitor.
No problem at all. The agency found us another suitable & local carer who we met before confirming the booking.
