Doubled my premium when I claimed!
Yes ok so they paid out each and every time (if not a bit slowly on occasion). But I am paying for my dog being poorly now! My premium has been doubled. I'm guessing it will double again next year. They have me over a barrel because my doggie has ongoing health problems so I can't move her to another company. But I can - and will - move my other dog and my cat. It is so harsh, not to say unethical, to double the premium like that. Really mixed feelings about John Lewis...

Awful and unethical
Wouldn't pay out when my vet advised I should go to a specialist vet for an eye problem! The small print lets them get out of paying if they think the fees are too high!!! Who are they to say that? If my own vet thinks I need a referral, then I need a referral and my insurance company should pay up. Getting the Financial Ombudsman sorted them out. They didn't uphold my complaint, but they did pay up in the end. Bitter experience. Avoid at all costs.
