Akela WholePrey

Alita had gone off her food and it looked so bland to me. We did a search in the market for our gorgeous Pomeranian as to what was best for her and Akela came up. They did tester packs so we decided to get one. We had never seen Alita eat her food so quick. It was then that we decided we would change her diet.
Since that day we have never looked back. Her coat is amazingly shiny and very healthy. She has become her old happy self.

We then became the owners to a Jug that we rescued. He was overweight and unhealthy. His bum smelled very badly. He was on a cheap branded food that was obviously not agreeing with his system. We changed him to Akela. He has lost some weight, his body is leaner and you can now see his gorgeous face properly.

We will never go back :-)

Excellent food - His stools is the best since he was a puppy after trying out different foods from other type of top of the range quality products. With this one, about 3 months into this product, he never hesitated to eat Akela like he did with other dried food products - he wiped his bowl clean to savour every crumbs every time too. Happy and relaxed owner - Thank you Akela!

Very pleased with this dog food, its very good quality and all 4 dogs find it so delicious that I can use it as a training reward too.

Read about Akela before buying for our puppy Dexter. He loves it and everyone who meets him comments on how silky his coat is. He is on his second bag now and I wouldn't buy anything else. He also gets complimented buy the vet on his healthy weight. He is really laid back to say he is a spaniel, could it be the food?

As someone who prides themselves on the condition of their dogs I am extremely happy with the Akela 80.20 I have been feeding my three dogs. As a dog trainer I not only want my dogs to be impeccably trained I want them to feel and look great, Akela dog food delivers both these things! As soon as its feed time all three of them are eagerly waiting, that tells me a lot! I recommend this food to anyone who is serious about canine nutrition - I won't be feeding anything else!

We have a 2 year old boxer bitch and I am already feeding what I would call a decent dog food with no rubbish and also I I I was looking for some dog treats that were healthy and not the dogs equivalent to "MacDonalds!!!. I found Akele on all about dog food and they do sample sizes. I bought a small bag of their dog treats which she loves and are made of mostly fish and I bought two trial sizes of their food. Fish feast big paws and their original. I also bought some duck snax twists they went down very well.

Received an original tester and he demolished within minutes. Ordered a larger bag of original and tried the fish too. Doesn't normally eat dry food (fussy dog) but seems to like this brand! Very good quality food with great ingredients! Can't wait to try the Suffolk duck variety and treats ordered in time for Christmas!

Fantastic food. My dog Kenzie is a very fussy westie. Got a sample of this at the dog show at the excel. He loves it. I have been mixing it with his normal good to let him become accostomed to it. Yet each day he will eat Akela first and leave his old food until last and he may eat that throughout the day. He loves it.

My three year old pug absolutely loves the small paws original! Tried the free sample, then placed an order. Simple and straightforward to order and a clean bowl every time, also ordered fish and potato treats and fish skins which have been equally well received. One happy pug!

I moved my fussy rescue puppy onto Akela after trying him on another 80:20 food, but never managing to firm up his "output". He absolutely loves Akela and eats it alongside raw food and his poo problems are completely cured. This is the only kibble we have found that doesn't make him sloppy and he enjoys it so much that all his training is done using his daily Akela ration as treats. He is full of energy and his coat is lovely. My older dog, who was on a completely raw diet, keeps pinching some, so I have now integrated it into his diet, too. I've recommended Akela to lots of people and my friend's extremely picky agility dog has now been switched onto Akela, as well, as it's one of the very few dog foods she will eat. One of her other dogs, who's quite arthritic, has been put on the fish variety. Akela might look expensive at first, but looking at the far smaller feeding amounts, it isn't actually badly priced at all, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. Looking forward to trying the new duck variety!!!!

Our 7 month old Labrador retriever has been fed Akela 80/20 since he was weaned. It certainly seems to be keeping him in very good condition and at tracking at an ideal weight. He also seems to enjoy eating it and has no tummy or poop issues. I would highly recommend it and tend to go for the big paws version to give him a bit more to crunch on!

Really pleased I found this food, our Frenchie pup had colitis and was constantly scratching, switched to Akela small paws after researching on the Internet and could see an immediate improvement. He loves both the original and fish feast, his stomach is 100% better, coat is healthy and importantly not itchy. On the 5th bag and happy we've found a great long term diet for him.

I have a fussy akita who can have a sensitive stomach when trying new foods. Changed him from Wainwrights to Akela, no fuss. I always mix dry food with meat but he does seem to enjoy it. Also, the improvement in his coat was noticeable.

We have fed our 7 month old blue staffy pup on Original Small Paws since 10 weeks old, Her coat is very shiny and we receive comments on her condition when we are on the beach or in the park. She is calm and very content and making great progress in her puppy classes - KC Bronze. We feel her diet has helped her develop her all round physical and mental condition.
We have tried samples of other food when given out at puppy classes and she soon tires of these and wants her Akela, Looking forward to trying the new Duck flavour, however she does not like the Fish.
Would recommend Akela to anyone.

Before we purchased our Aus Labradoodle, we researched which food to give her and came across Akela. It was not a brand we were familiar with but the reviews were encouraging so gave it a try. Found ordering etc. really straight forward and there were even free samples available. Our dog loves the food it certainly "agrees" with her. There are different recipes and more due soon. Can not recommend them more highly.

We have 3 dogs and have changed their diet to Akela.
My terrier has suffered with skin and ear problems for years. The vet has given us many medicines to clear them up with out success. Since being on Akela they have disappeared. Over the moon with the product. :)

I honestly can't praise the food and service highly enough.
My teckels have all improved around health, condition and coat holds a lovely shine.
I'm so pleased to have found akela and will continue to buy it.

Recommended this food by our breeder after our girl went off her raw, she totally loves it and I'm so happy to see her eating again, this with the raw that she will eat will hopefully see her putting on some weight.

After much research and a wish to feed my new puppy a good quality wholesome food that isn't bulked out with lots of grain such as rice I chose Akela Whole Prey for puppies. So far so good, he' s putting on weight steadily, his waste is regular and the required consistency and he seem's content following feeding. The smell of the food is quite strong (fish) but I overcome this by keeping it in a sealed container.

Amber has been on Akela for a few months now, she loves it, her coat is shiny and she looks wonderful. Thank you so much.

Tried Akela after buying A LOT of different dry and wet dog foods for my 8 months old Basset hound cross George. He is such a fussy eater and I had been tearing my hair out because he wouldn't settle on one food and it was hard getting into a routine. I'd done a lot of research and was impressed by the high quality ingredients in akela so gave it a whirl. Well George absolutely loves it and is thriving. I'm also happy in the knowledge he's eating the best

Been using this food for around a month now after ordering the sample. I have a pug who probably isn't the target audience for this food but she loves it. She has sensitivities to grains so this food is perfect for her. High nutrition, cheaper than the other grain free food she was on and it feels great to know you're giving your dog something healthy. Would definitely recommend all dog owners try a sample!

My very energetic springer spaniel loves Akela food. Stanley gets very excited at feeding time and I'm happy that he's getting good quality food at an affordable price.

I sent for a sample of akela. As soon as it was in the bowl my whippet x wolfed it down. He's never done that with a dry food in his 9yrs!! Now to purchase a full size bag

You think you have been doing the best for your beloved pets and then you find out you have been feeding them expensive rubbish for years. I'm so happy I found Akela. My extremely parky dog eats it without complaint and my greedy dog loves it. Yes we had 2-3 days of loose poos while they adjusted to the change but this has happened every time I have changed their diet, it is normal so don't worry if this happens to your pooch. My greedy dog used to constantly be nibbling at his paws and frequently had dandruff, these issues are no more. Great product accompanied with good customer service. I highly recommend that you give it a go. P.S. I mix the fish feast and the original together, the smell is wonderful.

My dogs absolutely love Akela, I moved them onto this after researching into how brilliant the quality of ingredients is. My cocker spaniel seemed to have a bad stomach from the last brand of food so moved her onto this and she has no problems any more. Love it, I won't be buying any other brand from now on.

I love the idea of this food and the sample packet indicated my 2 jack Russell's did too. Now on 2nd large bag,love how it opens and closes to keep fresh. Small paws is perfect for their jaws,all food is gone and at ages 11 and 12 and on this they show no signs of slowing down!
